Rationale:

The following artifacts include my voice journals for my student teacher experience (first year teaching experience) and an interview I conducted with my cooperating teacher for my early field experience. I appreciate the time taken to have this interview with my CT at this point in my teacher journey as he has also served as my mentor over the past few years. Learning his tried and true practices as a seasoned teacher who continues to prioritize positive student interactions and community in his classroom has positively impacted my experience as both his student and his student teacher. Much of his influence informs my own practice today. Keeping a student teaching log is like having a personal diary of your teaching journey. It helps you reflect on what works, what doesn't, and how you can improve. It additionally showcases dedication to reflection and adapting practice as necessary. By documenting these experiences and seeking feedback, I feel I've demonstrated commitment to learning and growing as an educator, which ultimately benefits both me and my students.
