Rationale:

Technology is tool that can be used to support instruction in an effort to allow students to receive content in a more effective and engaging manner. My certificate was granted after teaching a lesson that used the popular application, TikTok, to allow students to create, collaborate, strategize, and c0nnect with their audiences. Students were tasked with the challenge of creating a video to promote their upcoming concert. In one class period they learned about technology as it relates to the dance industry, different platforms dance is commonly shared on, and the pros and cons of medias presence in the industry. With that information they worked together to come up with a concept that would hook viewers and bring more traffic to their upcoming concert. By leveraging TikTok's popularity and features, I was able to create a learning experience that was engaging, interactive, and accessible for a wide range of the student demographic.
